Chapter 01
At the end of the Sengoku jidai, a war began to try and divide Japan. The Battle of Sekigahara was said to be one of the bloodiest battles of this war, during which many warriors found meaning to their lives in the handling of a sword and eventually lost sight of all other purpose, in the pursuit of improving their fighting skills. Among those who disappeared during the Battle of Sekigahara, there was one who was said to be unbeatable.

Four years later a young man comes across a wanted poster for the legendary Onime no Kyo (Demon Eyes Kyo), offering one million ryo for the head of a man said to have killed 1000 men. He is described as carrying a 150cm long sword, having a yin/yang symbol on his back and red eyes like a demon. The young man complains that the money would be better spent on training doctors to save lives. He stops to rest but then a young woman appears, collapsing on the road nearby and claiming to be asthmatic. The young man notices how beautiful she is and rushes to help, explaining that he's a chemist. However, the young woman pulls out a pistol and announces that she, Shiina Yuya, will claim the one million ryo bounty. The young man insists that he is Mibu Kyoshiro and not Onime no Kyo, despite fitting the description in every way except for his eyes. Yuya explains that she is a bounty hunter, 'the one who is everywhere on the Tokai road'. She is disappointed at not having caught Onime no Kyo but soon finds that Kyoshiro is also has a small bounty on his head and so resolves to claim it in the nearby Sengen village.
They find the village deserted however, save for a number of corpses, until they're suddenly attacked. Kyoshiro manages to dodge the blows but then trips over a stone. His attacker is about to kill him when Kyoshiro begins to unsheathe his sword and is suddenly enveloped in a powerful aura. Both the attackers and Yuya are astonished. Kyoshiro manages to sheathe the sword and tells them all to run because 'He' is coming. Kyoshiro blacks out. When he awakens, he discovers that their attackers were actually the land owners of the Sengen village, who'd accidentally mistook him for someone else. Their leader explains that their village is being terrorised by the terrible Bantoji brothers. Yuya offers to capture them in return for the bounty on their heads.

Chapter 02
Onime no kyo awakens and declairs he will kill all the attackers in the blink of an eye yuyu is shocked to see red eyes the enemys all attack then onime no kyo can take on many enemys at once he kills about twelve of them and ejoys it kyo then asks for more enemys and he gets what he wants but easily kills all of them too all the time yuyu watchs and becomes more and more shocked toji appers behind onime no kyo and looks pritty confident he then attempts to kill kyo but kyo then dodges toji then loses his confidence kyo then slashes toji kyo then gets ready to finish toji toji begs banji to kill kyo but banji has no reaction a couple panels laiter he starts stepping foreword to kyo but its too late banji says he is going to kill kyo now the fight between kyo and banji starts banji swings his giant hammer at kyo but kyo disaapers lyo then uses the mumyo jin puu ryuu satsu jinken mizuchi of killing technique of the divine wind on banji banji then attacks kyo then suddonly banji dies kyo then appraches yuyu yuya says your demon eyes kyo kyo replys yes yuya asks were is kyoshiro kyo says hes inside of him kyo then trys to kill yuya but then changes his mind kyo then cuts yuyas cloaths off kyo then changes back to kyoshiro kyoshiro seems worryd the villages are scard of kyoshiro becouse thay think he is onime no kyo yuya then takes control and thay continue there journey

Chapter 03
Kyoshiro and yuya wind up in this town this girl comes suddonly saying kyoshiro i finaly found you yuya wants to know who the girl is kyoshiro dosint seem to know the girl then says have you realy forgotten izumono okuni okuni stats talking about a night she and kyoshiro shared together a long time ago kyoshiro then remembers and wants to do it again yuya says okuni musint go after kyoshiro becouse hes brok okuni claims to be madly in love with kyoshiro after that some pervert guy comes up to yuya and gets hit of course but un like in most situations the guy just gets mad then this mean looking samurai guy shows up and starts attacking kyoshiro kyoshiro starts to change into onime no kyo suddonly every thing comes to a stop after yuya knoks kyoshiro out then yuya and okuni argue a little about kyoshiro at the end of the chapter we see some samurai warriors

Chapter 04
The samurai that appered in the last chapter starts killing every one in the village the strongest villagers try to defend them selfs theres this little girl which yuya and kyoshiro to help yuya tells the girl that thay will help her thay head to the village at the village the girls dad is struggling with the samurai kyoshiro and yuya then show up the samurai tells a little story about his defeit from onime no kyo the samurai cuts the dad then attacks kyoshiro kyoshiro blocks his sword with his scabbord as says if you continue he will come in the last scene of the chapter yuya is getting attacked by the samurais

Chapter 05
kyoshoro is pritty beatin up he notices yuyas gun lying on the ground then he remember yuya and okuni getting attacked by the samurais the little girl is getting attacked by wild dog and just then she is protected by kyoshiro then the dad shows up and thay go to a house where yuya is meanwhile then evil samurai guy is planing to fight onime no kyo back at the village the girl begins running yuya stops the little girl and she then explains how her village is being killed off so thay countinue to help the girl and that the end of vollume 1
