Mizuki is a teenaged girl, pretty but not beautiful, who lived in the village below the Sanada clan's castle when Sanada Yukimura was 18. She and Yukimura have a bad case of "puppy love" for each other, but Mizuki admits to herself that because she is only the daughter of a ronin, Yukimura (as the second son of a well-respected clan) is "much too high class" for her.
