Anri is the eldest of Yuan's siblings and a former konoetaishi of Muramasa. He escaped the Mibu with Muramasa and apparently continued to serve him, while also preparing a safe haven for the rest of his siblings should things go awry in their Mibu home. Apparently at Muramasa's request, he instilled in Yukimura a portion of a technique of his called Sekireigan.

Sekireigan appears to emanate from the eyes and is performed at such speed so as to be invisible to the human eye. Defensively, it creates an illusion of the user, which the enemy then attacks, allowing the user to dodge their attack. Offensively it allows the user to create more illusions, to increase their speed tenfold, so as to deliver a large number of blows in an instant. Sekireigan's disadvantage is that it can only be used three times per day before it becomes dangerous for its user, causing damage to their body.

When Muramasa was escaping from the mibu compound, it was Anri who was with him, protecting him from harm. From then on, he knows Yuan will try to avenge their mother, as well as try to protect their family. Anri,nicknamed, Tengu, taught Yukimura more than just the Sekireigan, but the Shirosagi no hana. Both being speed techniques, fashioning Yukimura into a fine warrior.
